HOW DOES IT WORK?

1.

Our rental trees live in their pots, which are placed in trenches in the ground.

they stay at the farm from january until the end of november.

they are fed, watered and given a little prune.

CO2

O2

Christmas trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow, helping to mitigate climate change.

2.

We'll  deliver your tree directly to your door. You will need to make sure someone is in to receive the tree as we cannot leave them outside. Sadly, they are so popular that people sometimes take them.

Delivery could be any time between 8am and 8pm on your allocated day, but we will give you a very approximate eta the evening before. i'm afraid we cannot agree to specific times as we have a lot of trees to deliver in a short amount of time!

We group our deliveries by area to minimise our carbon footprint.

3.

When your tree arrives, please remove the netting immediately. you can just roll it down and keep it around the base of the pot, to be pulled back up when you return it.

give it a good drink of water (around a pint).

decorate with beautiful lights and decorations (but no glitter or snow sprays, please).

Your tree will come with a watering saucer.

Please ensure your tree always has water in the saucer and keep away from radiators and fires!

4.

We'll collect your tree on your allocated day.

Please do not water it on the collection day as it makes the pot very heavy and messy. Please try to roll the netting back up over your tree to protect it in transit.

We will label your tree and take it back to the farm. You can choose to have the same tree again the next year, or rent a different one if you'd prefer.

Please ensure your tree is ready for collection by removing all lights and decorations.

our story

We're a family run business based in North London and we absolutely love everything to do with Christmas!

After selling trees for a few years, we discovered our customers were looking for sustainable fresh wreaths and trees, delivered to their door for a reasonable price - this is how Christmas on the Hill began.  We are committed to ensuring that every tree and wreath is of the highest quality and, because we care about our local community, up to 20% of our profits will go to help local schools.

We’re very excited to be one of the few companies offering rental trees as well as cut trees. Renting a tree gives you the opportunity to have a beautiful living Christmas tree every year, whilst also contributing to the growth and continued life of a tree.  Nearly 6 million trees enter landfill in January every year - let's do our bit to put a stop to this!

We offer delivery and collection to all London postcodes, and this year we're aiming for 50% of our trees to be delivered by electric bikes.
